Different Species of Termites

Drywood termites do not need any contact with the soil, they can live on a minimal amount of moisture and usually can find that source right inside your studs. Subterranean Termites do live (generally) in the soil, seeking food via shelter tubes in your structure. There are several conditions that have to be taken into consideration before making any recommendation for treatment. Generally speaking, subterranean termites will require a soil application and drywood termites will require access to their galleries for localized treatment, wall injection or fumigation. There are several cutting edge technologies out there for use on both types of termites. A licensed inspection can discuss the various treatment options available to you. Most of our inspections are done at no cost to the consumer, on occasion a nominal fee may be required, which is always credited back towards any work performed.
